As the benefit of drugs should be operationalized by several patient-relevant outcomes, several efficiency frontiers may arise in a health economic evaluation. Multi-criteria decision-making procedures may support the weighting of criteria or attributes from various efficiency frontiers. The most widely used approaches include the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Conjoint Analysis (CA). These two procedures were therefore selected for testing in a pilot project.
